Excavations (1994)
Series of sculptures done between 1992-1994 in London and India with fragile materials and found objects, using the idea of the ruin and the fragment, after Walter Benjamin’s “The Arcades Project”.
Early Terracotta Sculptures (1982-1990)
The terracotta sculptures made between 1983 and 1990 used pottery techniques to create largely figurative sculptures with a lot of humor and irony, taking inspiration from folk and classical Indian sculpture.
